Hi lovelies! How do you like the new look of my blog? I thought it was finally time for an update to make it look fresh and sleek ready for the festive season. With this, I’m doing a new type of post with a few of my winter favourites.
♡Cashmere scarves feel so soft against the skin and keep you super toasty. Not to mention that they look really chic thrown over a turtleneck jumper. I got mine in Edinburgh on mine and Dave’s little Valentine’s Day trip last year. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it thanks to its beautiful neutral shades and classic check pattern. I really love this scarf and every time I wear it, it brings back lovely memories!
♡ Cappuccino Truffle Yankee Candle is the most perfect scent to fill your room with around this time of year. It smells like a chocolately coffee shop in a chic New York hotel. It’s almost good enough to eat.
♡ My Burberry body mist is a delicate edition of the original fragrance with notes of rose, patchouli and geranium leaf. It smells wonderful and is super light. This was a Christmas present to myself from myself last year and has lasted really well. Personally, this scent reminds me of winter and is the perfect addition to a neutral, cosy outfit. It even has moisturising particles so what’s not to love?
♡ Green tea by Rare Tea Co is so delicate and light without any of the bitterness that you sometimes get with strong green tea. It’s really floral and a perfect alternative to earl grey. The tin it comes in also doubles as a decoration so it’s a win-win.
♡ Coconut body mist from The Body Shop always reminds me of winter for some reason, despite being a typically summery scent. It’s really light and doesn’t leave any residue on my skin, which is why I love it so much. It’s the kind of scent you can spray all over without worrying about it being overpowering.
♡ Peach lipstick is the perfect pairing to soft knits in winter. The light splash of colour adds a focus point to neutral outfits and keeps things looking fresh. Peach also happens to be my favourite colour so I love wearing it during the colder months as well. Who said peach is just for summer?
So these are my winter favourites this year, including some from last year, too ☺️ What are your favourites this time of year? And have you spotted a difference in my photos? I realised that all of my previous ones were taken in low light, which was fine as it looked quite cosy and wintery. However, I’m a lover of all things neutral so I thought that my blog should reflect this more! I know that I am far from an expert when it comes to photography, but because of this, I have learnt some little editing tricks to make my photos stand out more. I’m thinking of doing a post about this – is that something you would be interested in? Let me know so I can put one together and share some humble tips. Thank you for reading and don’t forget to share your winter favourites below!
