Last night was Dave’s birthday so to continue the celebrations, we had cake, presents and prosecco with our families before meeting up with friends in Winchester! It was really sweet as my little sister came along to our night out but I think she found us all a little old and boring haha. We started off with some cocktails at No.5 Bridge Street, a boutique hotel in the centre with a chic, cosy bar that I have written about previously. It’s easily one of my favourite places in Winchester but I have to admit that our cocktails looked much prettier than they actually tasted… I think next time I will just stick to gin and tonic! Following our pretty-but-sour cocktails, we made our way over to the William Walker pub, where we had
a table a whole area reserved for us with a complimentary bottle of prosecco and some friends waiting already.
Shoutout to the William Walker and all the lovely staff who made us feel really welcome! I’ve also written about this pub before, when Dave and I were invited to sample some cocktails and desserts around Valentine’s Day earlier this year. If you are ever in Winchester, I would definitely recommend it for its warm and cosy vibe! As the evening continued, more and more friends arrived, and it was lovely to catch up with them, especially as some arrived from quite far away. I think this was the perfect end to a weekend of celebrations!
Have you been to Winchester before? What are you favourite pubs there?
