Today, Dave and I ended up having a cute Easter day out after some family traditions in the morning, which you can read about in tomorrow’s post! We popped into Ringwood, a town near us just outside of the New Forest, for a coffee and some lunch. After finding out Boston Tea Party had pretty much ran out of food, we hunted around for another spot and came across The New Forest Pantry, a new cafe on the high street. It has the cosiest interior with white walls, rustic wooden tables and luxe upholstered chairs, which is exactly my style! I had a delicious cream tea with locally-made jam from the New Forest, the creamiest clotted cream and a fresh fruit scone that was still warm from the oven! Dave had a yummy sandwich and the loveliest loose leaf tea – oolong and orange blossom. We definitely recommend this cute little cafe if you ever find yourself in Ringwood or nearby.
There also happened to be a popup animal farm in the market square with the most adorable goats, donkeys and baby chicks. Totally in my element, I practically ran over and pushed all the kids out of the way so I could pet the animals 😚 Dave didn’t even blink – he’s very much used to me cooing over every puppy we pass in the street and then going on about how cute its little paws were for five minutes haha.
Spontaneous days out like this are my favourite and it turned out to be such a lovely way to celebrate Easter. I can’t wait to share with you about my family’s Easter tradition tomorrow. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading this post!
How are you spending the Easter weekend? Are you doing anything to celebrate?
